Itinerary
DAY 1 - Arrival Day & Bike Fit - Col de la croix Blanche
- Arrival: Pick up at Pau or Lourdes Airport or Lourdes Train Station and Arrival at hotel in Argeles-Gazost.
- Ride: Col de la croix Blanche, voie verte toward Lourdes. A Bike fitting and warm up ride with a 55 km loop and 870 meters of ascent.
- Meals: Dinner
- Destinations: Saint-Créac, Germs-sur-l’Oussouet, Table d’orientation La Croix Blanche
- Accomplished: 55km / 34 miles, Elevation gain: 870 metres / 2,854 feet
- Accommodations: One of our preferred boutique hotels in Argeles-Gazost.
DAY 2 - Col de Tentes
- Ride: Steady climb to Luz-Saint-Sauveur for 20 km then the climb to Col de Tentes!
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
- Destinations: Luz Saint Sauveur, Pragneres, Gedre, Summit of Col de Tentes.
- Accomplished: 95km / 60 miles, Elevation gain: 2204 metres/ 7,231 feet
- Accommodations: One of our preferred boutique hotels in Argeles-Gazost.
DAY 3 - Tourmalet from Bareges
- Ride: Steady climb to Luz-Saint-Sauveur for 20 km then riding up the Tourmalet!
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
- Destinations: Luz Saint Sauveur, Barèges, Summit of Tourmalet.
- Accomplished: 75km / 47 miles, Elevation gain: 1900 metres / 6234 feet
- Accommodations: One of our preferred boutique hotels in Argeles-Gazost.
DAY 4 - Ride to Cauterets / View the Tour de France Finish in Cauterets!
- Ride: All these climbs are shorter and “easier” and can be done separately
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
- Destinations: Col de Luz Ardiden, Cauterets, Pont d’Espagne
- Accomplished: 97km / 60 miles, Elevation gain: 2400 metres / 7874 feet
- Accommodations: One of our preferred boutique hotels in Argeles-Gazost.
DAY 5 - Soulor / Aubisque / Spandelles
- Ride: A trio of nice climbs which are among the most famous and scenic of the Pyrenees…Col de Soulor, Col d’Aubisque, Col de Spandelles (possibility to shorten the day by skipping climbs)
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
- Destinations: Summits of Col de Soulor, Col d’Aubisque, Col de Spandelles
- Accomplished: 115km / 72 miles, Elevation gain: 2850 metres / 9350 feet
- Accommodations: One of our preferred boutique hotels in Argeles-Gazost.
DAY 6 - Hautacam
- Ride: Short ride but not the easiest with the ascent of the Hautacam!
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
- Destinations: Ayros-Arbouix, Artalens-Souin, Station du Hautacam
- Accomplished: 35km / 22 miles, Elevation gain: 1240 metres / 4068 feet
- Accommodations: One of our preferred boutique hotels in Argeles-Gazost.
DAY 7 - Tourmalet from La Mongie
- Ride: Classic loop with Tourmalet from La Mongie which is the hardest side!
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
- Destinations: Tresbons, Bagnères-de-Bigorre, Summit of Tourmalet, Luz Saint Sauveur
- Accomplished: 100km / 62 miles, Elevation gain: 2100 metres / 6890 feet
- Accommodations: One of our preferred boutique hotels in Argeles-Gazost.
DAY 8 - Au revoir!
- Depart: Transfer to Toulouse, Bordeaux, or Lourdes
- Meals: Breakfast
